TaG class participants must declare an engine brand prior to their first WinterNats competition.  Subsequently, each participant will be able to change this declaration only once and such change may not occur within an event weekend.  Note: Should a competitor not explicitly declare an engine brand, the engine brand used in their first competition session (qualifying, heats or main) will be deemed an implicit declaration.

The track configuration for the January 11th-13th Event will be the CalSpeed Karting Nuovo Course in the clockwise direction (click here for a track map and go to page 2).

A SKUSA spec MG Yellow, type “MZ” manufactured exclusively for SKUSA will be the spec tire for the 2008 WinterNats.  Race Tires (i.e., tires used in WinterNats qualifying, heats and mains) must be purchased from SKUSA.  Click here for additional spec tire rules.  The initial price for Race Tires will be $190 per set, plus tax.  Serialized Race Tires will be available for pick up at the event Tire Desk on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  Practice tires are available for shipment NOW at $190/set + tax + $10 if shipped to CA/NV/AZ or $15 if shipped to other states.

Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) has announced an entirely new race series to debut in Southern California in 2008. The series, Superkarts! USA WinterNational Championship Series, is a three weekend - six race championship that will span the first quarter of 2008.
